About Thorchain
Created in 2018 by CEO and founder Chad Barraford, Thorchain (RUNE) is a decentralized liquidity network for cross-chain cryptocurrency swaps, allowing users to trade their digital assets across various blockchain networks without the need for centralized exchanges. The platform is non-custodial, allowing users to maintain control of their assets. Thorchain aims to create a trustless and decentralized trading ecosystem with a unique "chaosnet" mechanism that facilitates quick and efficient trades. It also allows users to participate in liquidity pools, earning rewards for providing liquidity to the platform, ensuring that there is always sufficient liquidity available for trading.
Thorchain (RUNE) has several key uses within its ecosystem:
Cross-Chain Swapping: The main use case of Thorchain is enabling users to swap assets directly between different blockchains without needing a centralised intermediary. It supports native swaps, meaning users do not have to wrap assets or use synthetic versions.
Liquidity Provision: RUNE is used within liquidity pools to facilitate asset swaps. Users can provide liquidity in exchange for earning fees, with RUNE being used to balance the pools.
Network Security: RUNE is bonded by the validators (nodes) that secure the network. These nodes are required to bond RUNE to participate, ensuring they have a vested interest in the network's security and smooth operation.
Governance: RUNE is also used to govern the protocol. RUNE holders can participate in governance decisions related to the protocol's development and future upgrades.
Settlement Asset: RUNE serves as the settlement asset within the network, acting as the base currency for transactions between different blockchain assets.

Learn About Thorchain
RUNE Wallets Ranked by Security, Speed, and Cross-Chain Features
RUNE is the native asset of THORChain, the cross-chain liquidity protocol whose vaults were exploited for more than $10 million in May 2026, hitting 12,847 wallets across Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Base. The breach was a protocol-level failure no wallet could have prevented, but the wallet a holder used decided how fast they saw the pause warning and how exposed their funds were. Native wallets like Asgardex and THORWallet flagged the validator pause at the protocol level, while most multi-chain users only found out once Thorchain was trending online. This comparison grades the leading options for holding and swapping RUNE on security architecture, swap speed, and native cross-chain features. The takeaway is that for RUNE, your real risk exposure depends on wallet choice far more than on any rune price prediction.
Seven Years of IOTA Data Reveal What Actually Drives Value
IOTA (MIOTA) is a distributed-ledger network now built on the Move-based Rebased architecture, targeting global trade and real-world asset infrastructure. MIOTA traded near $0.058 with a market cap around $258 million, roughly 98% below its December 2017 all-time high of $5.69. Seven years of price data suggest exchange access and custody have driven IOTA value far more consistently than partnership announcements, architecture upgrades, or developer activity. The May 2025 Coordinator removal through the Rebased upgrade brought decentralized consensus and staking near 11.54% APY, yet the price boost faded within weeks. Enterprise deployments like TWIN and ADAPT continue expanding while the market waits for measurable on-chain demand to register.
Sui Crypto News - CME Futures to Token Unlocks
Sui (SUI) had a busy stretch between March and early May 2026: CME Group's April 7 announcement of SUI futures launching May 4, the USDsui stablecoin launch by Stripe's Bridge on March 4, DeepBook Predict's testnet debut driving a 976 percent volume spike for the DEEP token, a quiet testnet v1.71.1 release that only developers noticed, and an ongoing token unlock schedule worth roughly 0.55 percent of total supply each month. This Sui crypto news review separates signal from noise, ranking each event by quantifiable price impact rather than headline volume. The CME announcement moved SUI 8.3 percent in 48 hours and held the level. The USDsui launch barely moved Sui price. DeepBook's volume spike collapsed within five days. The testnet upgrade had zero short-term effect but matches the kind of developer activity that preceded Solana's 2023-2024 rebound. SUI trades around $1.15, roughly 79 percent below its January 2025 high of $5.35.
